About Us

The company was originally formed in 1955 and at around that time became a franchised dealer for Citroen cars, the business being carried on at Cross Deep Twickenham in the name of Ferden and Birch.

In June 1986 Terry Bollingmore and his wife June purchased the company (now Ferden Cars), re-naming it Bollingmores whilst retaining the Citroen franchise. Terry Bollingmore brought with him 20 years of motor trade experience having worked with other dealerships and vehicle manufacturers.

Bollingmores soon outgrew the premises and as a result of this the servicing and parts operations were relocated to a larger factory site in Teddington in May 1992.

1999 saw the purchase of Herds Motor Group Citroen dealership in Ashford, Middlesex, with the transfer of the Bollingmores vehicle sales operation to Staines Road West and the addition of another servicing operation in Spelthorne Lane.

Bollingmores was offered the opportunity to purchase another Citroen dealership in Woking in June 2001 (Sheerwater Motors) and decided to consolidate its servicing and parts operations by transferring the Teddington facilities to Ashford having brought out another company (Motor Wise), after which Teddington was sold.

The company added a Peugeot Authorised Repairer and Parts Distributorship at Ashford in 2007, which it still holds today together with an MOT Testing station.

Currently the company runs two operations, one in Ashford and the other in Woking. These are managed by a board of directors and headed by Terry Bollingmore, all of whom have considerable motor trade experience, have worked together for many years and can be found on our ‘meet the team’ page.
